organized house

When it comes to moving into a new house, there are mixed feelings inside every person. There is excitement to move to another house while being exhausted with packing and setting up the new house. We tend to miss the old one where we have so many memories attached at the same time.

Rented or a new home, everyone goes through this process, and when it comes to setting up a house, usually the mind turns blank, not knowing what to do.

When considering whether or not to set up a new house, many factors need to be considered. These factors can include the house’s layout, the size of the house, and the budget available.

There is always a moment of a hurry, everything is messed up, and everyone is running and finding their belongings and arranging stuff.

To make your task easy, we have created a checklist that makes you remember the tasks you must do first when you move into your ‘home sweet home.

In India, where the population is maximum and housing limited, many people can afford tiny houses, and many cannot afford that.

Typically, a house consists of a hall, bedroom, kitchen, washroom, balcony, washing/drying area, terrace, dining area, guest room, etc.

Things to be considered while setting up your home:

  1. Hall

  • We are welcomed by the hall when moving in, and it must be tidy and organized.
  • As soon as you enter or outside the door, a shoe rack must be placed, and besides that, a stool or small seating area to sit and comfortably wear your footwear.
  • The main door must have a doormat placed, followed by key hooks for placing keys, umbrellas, and other essential items.
  • Proper lighting must be present at the main door.

  1. Bedroom

  • The ideal room has a bed, seating space, mirror, carpet or rugs, and curtains that block the sunshine.
  • For storage, either the bed is a good option or cabinets.
  • The bedside table looks excellent for the convenience of placing everyday objects.
  • If electronics must be positioned, suitable walls will do the trick to beautify the bedroom.

  1. Kitchen

  • The kitchen must have proper ventilation along with an exhaust or chimney.
  • Whenever a house is shifted, the kitchen should be set up first as some easy meals can be cooked and later the rest of the house can be arranged.
  • Food items that are needed frequently must be placed where there are easily accessible.
  • Kitchen appliances like the fridge, oven, etc., must be connected as soon as possible.

  1. Bathroom

  • Shampoo, soaps, etc., should be placed along with a towel.
  • The mirror and hanging hooks can be fixed later.
  • The doormat outside must be anti-skid to avoid slipping.

  1. Dining area

  • The dining area must be close to the kitchen or in the kitchen itself.
  • Crockery and other essentials must be neatly arranged near the kitchen and the dining area.

  1. Guest room

  • The guest room can include seating space as well as a bed. A sofa cum bed would be ideal.
  • Wall hangings or paintings can be hung up to make the interiors look pretty.

In any room, potted plants can be placed according to the availability of sunlight and suitable temperature.

Remember, a good home makes a good impression.
